MU-CEN: Maastricht University CEnter of Neuroeconomics

Neuroeconomics Talks 2018

On 13th April, 2018, about 90 scholars got together at the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics for the Maastricht Neuroeconomics Talks (MU-NET) 2018.

The MU-NET were organized by the Maastricht University Center of Neuroeconomics (MU-CEN) and consisted of 2 keynote and 6 plenary talks by renowned economists, psychologists and neuroscientists working on Neuroeconomics. We are happy to have had such inspiring talks by Nathaniel Daw (Princeton University), Alan Sanfey (Radboud University), Uma Karmarkar (UC San Diego), Carlos Alós-Ferrer (University of Zurich), Christian Ruff (University of Zurich), Hauke Heekeren (Free University Berlin), Federico de Martino (Maastricht University) and Adele Diederich (Jacobs University), who provided an exciting overview of current hot topics across the whole range of Neuroeconomics such as social motivations, consumer product evaluation, decision conflict, affect, multiple systems of decision-making and ultra-high field Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

MU-NET also featured an afternoon poster session, during which 25 young scholars presented their most recent work on various topics within Neuroeconomics including reinforcement learning, social preferences, decision-making under uncertainty, bargaining behaviour and cognitive control.
